Lady Cougars defeated county opponent, Northgate Vikings 3-1. Lady Vikings are 10-9. While NHS is 12-9 overall.

Katelin Richardson started the 2nd inning odd with a one-run-homerun. Hannah Scarbrough, Maysen Willard, Shakerra Geter and Danielle Curlee each had one hit.
Addie Andrews pitched one of her best games, striking three people out. As well as having bases loaded and no outs, she still manages to get out of it with out them scoring.
The coaches were very proud of the lady Cougars. Mrs. Carrie Gilmore, NHS Head Softball Coach, had a few words after that game, “The girls worked together as a team the whole game. Both defensively and offensively they did a great job. Even with starting players injured we still got the job done.”
The lady Cougars will meet Lady Vikings again on September 30th. NHS hopes to come back home with another “W.”
