From September 24th through October 3rd, local residents of all ages gathered at the fair grounds to attend the Kiwanis Coweta County Fair and experience the joys brought to them by a variety of animals, exhibits, rides, and live entertainment.
The constant dreariness throughout the week did not deter many from coming out for a fun time spent with family and friends.
Everything from rabbits to alpacas were entered into the livestock competitions by 4-H participants. The animals were not the only thing being judged at the fair. From pre-K to adult, many submitted items into categories such as baked goods, agriculture, horticulture, photography, art, and handy crafts to compete for an array ribbons and cash prizes.
Many people anxiously waited in line for the thrilling rides, fun houses, and Ferris wheels that towered above the fair grounds. Other locals enjoyed their time with others by walking through Sam’s Path Exotic Petting Zoo, watching a live hypnosis show, and viewing the Torres One Ring Family Circus.
