The Lady Cougars JV Lacrosse team recently placed second in a tournament at Sprayberry High School on March 12th and look to carry their momentum into this weekend’s competition.

While at Sprayberry, the hard working team started with an early win of 11-7 against McEachern. Multiple shots were made by bubble players Madeline Williams, Sarah Dougherty, Mystikal Lewis and first year JV player Stella Janas. The Lady Cougars posted a fairly smooth win against the tough McEachern team.

Lady Cougars went for their second win in a back to back game against Sprayberry. The girls had a close call with a 7-6 win. The final shot was made by Mallory Williams, with less than a minute left in the game.

The winning streak, however, ended after a tough fight against Creekview High School. After a close game, the Lady Cougars shook hands and proudly accepted their medals for a hard earned second place.

The Lady Cougars JV squad will be looking to take their winning momentum into their matches with Coweta rivals. The cup will be held March 26th at NHS’s Drake Stadium.
