Newnan Baseball Splits Season Series with Rival E.C.H.S.

After dropping the first game of the two game series 13-7, the Newnan Cougars bounced back on Friday night in thrilling fashion to win 15-11.

The Newnan offense got off to a slow start in the game by getting behind by as many as four runs in the first three innings.

Bennett Rowan, junior, pushed across the game clinching RBIs in the top of the 8th inning with a single up the middle. Dahlton Cash and Chancellor Johnson, both seniors, then hit two singles to plate two insurance runs.

Jacob Snellgrove, junior, entered the game in the bottom of the 8th to close the game down. Snellgrove struck out the first batter and got the last to fly out to center to end the ball game.

Dahlton Cash and Anthony Marino highlighted the series going for a combined 6-9 at the plate with 8 RBIs.

Newnan resumes its season with a region game Tuesday by travelling to Langston Hughes.
