The Lady Cougars JV Lacrosse team competed against Northgate and East Coweta for the the Coweta Cup on Saturday, March 26, and the Lady Cougars brought home first place.

Waking up early Saturday morning, the girls faced against last year’s champions, Northgate High School’s JV Lady Vikings.

The Cougars having a lead in the first half began feeling stressed during the second half when the Vikings caught up. When the buzzer sounded, the score was 9-9.

After going into halftime twice, the Lady Cougars took the final shot in overtime and won with a final score of 10-9.

The team would go on to their next victory over their other county rival, East Coweta High School’s JV Lady Indians. With both the rain and sweat starting to soak the players, the determined team beat EC 11-0.

After the JV Lady Cougars took first place in the JV Lacrosse Coweta County Cup, the Varsity squad plans to also take the same title when they compete for the Coweta Cup on April 15th against East Coweta and April 29th against Northgate.
