The Fort Worth, Texas native, now 26, has completely developed his sound to reflect the soul genre of the 50’s and 60’s.

He brings back the old voices of soul legends, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. Speaking to Billboard, Bridges commented, “I’m not saying I can hold a candle to any soul musician from the ’50s and ’60s,” Bridges said, “but I want to carry the torch.”

Bridges had performed on SNL in 2015 for the promotion of his first album “Coming Home.” He performed, “Smooth Sailin’” and “River”.

Bridges was also featured on Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ 2nd album, “This Unruly Mess I’ve Made in the song,” in the track titled “Kevin.” Bridges performed with Macklemore at the 2015 American Music Awards.

Bridges was also nominated for Best R&B Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards (2016).
