Prowl and Growl Team Coverage of NHS Homecoming

Homecoming at Newnan High School is full of traditions that fill the students, staff and the community with pride and excitement. It becomes a major presence in both the school and the city, culminating into the crowning of the Homecoming Queen, and now King, at the Homecoming game.

The various clubs of NHS work together to decorate the windows downtown, and there is a Homecoming parade that goes through downtown Newnan consisting of floats that each grade and other groups as well as other schools make.

This year’s  Homecoming theme was “Let The Games Begin.” Homecoming week also includes themed days where students can wear special outfits and costumes to match the day.  Each grade level adopts a hallway or building to decorate according to the theme, and teaches can decorate their doors as well.
